Taiwan trip.
Super excited on nov 16. Reached Changi airport before 6am, and finally boarded the plane at 8.30am. It has been a super long time since the last time i board the SIA plane. After 4 hrs, we arrive at Taiwan!!! Haha...totally wanted to rush out of the airport immediately!!
We went to 小人国 to visit and play. The weather there is cooling---cold...especially at night. 而且那里天色暗得很快。5点多久像新加坡7点多了！We had our dinner and checked in the hotel. the hotel lobby is super small and 70+ ppl are squeezing inside. And almost everywhere we go, like the hotel we stay, the schools or parks we visited, there is a sign saying: 欢迎新加坡南洋女子中学校莅临。喔！太夸张了吧？
2nd day.
We went to 复旦中学 to 交流. Ppl are looking at us as if we are from mars. Because it was a monday, they have morning assembly. Their morning assembly is quite long...and there is a super scary part---即兴演讲。If you are called by the principal(by random), you have to give a speech on a given topic. 超可怕的！
After the assembly, our buddies all crowd over, surrounded us and took out signs which they had prepared. On the signs were names of their buddies, which are us...就好像歌迷在机场等歌星...但还是比较像在领养孤儿的感觉。Finally, i found my buddy, and with jeraldine, qian wen, min hui and joanna, we went to class 263.
Their tables are specially arranged in such a way that the 5 of us are sitting in the front facing the whole class. The first lesson was english, and the lesson was suppose to be sth abt chinese new year. At first, we chatted in english. But later, the teacher finally realised that singaporeans can speak chinese...er! so throughout the whole english lesson, we chatted randomly in chinese.
After english lesson, they have to do sth like 早操 tgt as a school. so we did with them, and it was math lesson after that. quite excited to learn math in chinese..hahaha! but we had to arrange our table back to the 'normal' arrangement cos they say that their math teacher is very strict...so my buddy carried my table and i carried the chair...but suddenly, while walking on the narrow aisle, a guy bend down and my chair hit his head...i could totally feel the impact! 超痛的！i'm so sorry!!! sigh...有点糗...
math lesson is quite boring. only learn what square, squareroots are known in chinese. and we solved for x from ax2+bx+c...
it is lunch break followed by 30min of 午睡！omg! they have 午睡！i actually did sleep a bit cos we woke up at 5.30 am that morning...then it was reading lesson...the teacher helped me borrowed a book from a student(although i have my own reading material). the book is boring...
After reading lesson is 国文课。他们的老师超搞笑的！天气明明就很冷还边拿扇子扇边喊热！而且他的穿着就像演古代片。国文课我们又学了陋室铭。这已经是我们第三次学了。可是幸好这次的教法与教的内容和以前的有所不一样。
It was abt 2.30pm and we left the class for another activity organised by their 学务处长。he explained their schooling system etc, and we had to do a 读后感 later... after that, we stood at the gate to wait for our coach, but it was late for abt 1++hrs. 结果我们在那里受冷风吹... i was totally shivering like mad...but shaoting 这个变态！说什么刚刚好！xiao!!!
Later we learnt that someone broke into the bus to steal sth, so the driver had to send the bus to repair...so it was late. sigh..dint expect such thing to happen in taiwan. so we had our dinner in a restaurant whchi is famous for their fish...so out of lke 11 dishes, 6-7 are fishes...but 名不虚传. the fishes are nice!
We were then given time to 逛 around the place near our hotel...so the 5 of us shopped for gifts for our taiwan classmates. finally, we bought bookmarks at the nearest bookstore.
